2.5 year old MALE Beagle mix Approx 35 lb.
It’s Snoopy The Christmas Beagle! ❤️🎄
Snoopy found himself on “the kill list” (which is a real thing) at the Brooklyn NY shelter last week. It’s not that there was anything wrong with him but there really are THAT MANY dogs needing homes. Someone tagged K9O in the post, a super volunteer picked him up and now he’s destined for greatness. Look at him, he even celebrated Taco Tuesday! If we have learned anything this week it’s that humans don’t deserve dogs. Snoopy is that fabulous. He has liked everything so far. He loves sitting on you, with you, being scratched, being pet, following you, playing with toys, tacos, local IPAs, EATING, and when we tell you he LOVED his bath…he really loved that bath.

From his foster and superwoman transporter:
Feliz Navi-dog! Does everyone remember Snoopy the Christmas beagle we posted earlier this week? He was set to be euthanized on Tuesday but we sprung him just in time! Snoopy is snuggly, well mannered, snuggly, playful… and did we mention snuggly? He’s met a quite a few people in his short time with us and so far there isn’t a lap he won’t sit on. He seems to be mostly potty trained, doesn’t seem to have any interest in chewing anything, he’s loving playtime with his doggy foster sister and has been around cats with little interest shown. He’s walks very well on a leash, knows sit, and is responsive to his name. He will come flying from wherever he is as soon as you call him. He’s what we like to call a “velcro dog.” Added fun facts: he loves rotisserie chicken garnished with cheese.. and bath time.
Snoopy sleeps through the night in his crate, but prefers that he can see you since he has separation anxiety from being dumped at the shelter. He would rather be the little spoon in a bed, but he’s willing to compromise. He would also do best being crated during the day if you have to leave him, but he does not like to go in the crate and he may react if you try to push him (he prefers bribery). If you can bring him to daycare so he doesn’t have to be alone, that would be an added plus! Snoopy doesn’t care where he lives as long as he’s loved, but we think he would do best in a house rather than an apartment due to his raspy beagle bark that only comes out when he thinks you’re leaving him. He would love a doggy sibling to show him the ropes, but he is not willing to share food! He is on a mission to keep his Dad Bod in tip top shape.
If you would like to meet Snoopy, please submit the Application for Adoption at K9Orphans.org. Thank you! ❤️🎄
