Gilbert. They say he’s a Shih-Tzu but he looks like an Ewok. I have my doubts. Estimated age is 1-2 years, just a wee lad at 13lbs, and seems to have an issue with winter static. Gil is a goofy little guy with a big personality. He loves to play with toys and appreciates anything food-related. He wanted me to tell you that he is a good boy and deserves lots of treats. He will entertain his family with random and clumsy bouts of zoomies, which often lead to spills from the couch and/or running into furniture. Sadly, he will never be a ballerina.
Gilbert loves people and other dogs, but has not been cat tested and is unsure of himself around teacup humans. He has not shown any signs of aggression, but children past the screaming years are probably best. This boy does not seem to have had the best start in life. He lacks confidence but he often looks to his foster dog-siblings for guidance so we think a home with a confident resident dog would be ideal. We believe in you, Gilbert.
Gilbert is not yet neutered, but will be soon. He is pee-pad trained and is great in his crate, but does not approve of baby gates (he will jump them like a furry little ninja). He is currently working on learning to go potty outdoors. He gets nervous outside when his foster siblings aren’t around, hence the need for another dog in the home to help show him the ropes. It seems that he did not get to spend much time in the outside world.
