COSMO – Rochester NY area Male, Great Pyrenees mix, DOB 9/11/19 (he’s almost 4!), 90 lb.
Cosmo is a gentle giant. He loves attention, hugs, kisses, playing with other dogs and more hugs and kisses. He enjoys going for walks but does not have high a endurance so short walks are OK with him! He thoroughly enjoys his friends and staff at dog daycare and the love is mutual. At home he is calm and peaceful, he does not destroy things that are not his, he does not destroy his toys, but occasionally he will throw his toys or get the zoomies. Keep in mind he’s close to 100 lb.
He has lived in a home for the past few years but had a few instances where he was barking at a person and with small children, his family was worried this may end up with misplaced aggression. We feel that his new family should take him for a training class and we will sponsor that at Dog Educated in East Rochester or somewhere convenient for his family. He hates being crated and thankfully has never needed to be crated. He is 100% housebroken. He would love to be allowed on the couch or big beds in the house. Once he looks at you with those eyes, we know you’re going to allow it regardless of what you think right now.
We are going to ask that applicants have a solid fenced yard and no small children. Regular brushing will be needed for Cosmo as he is a Great Pyrenees mix and does shed. He is very well behaved for bathing and nail trims. We want Cosmo to be able to live his best life as he’s still so young and many of us here at K9 Orphans have known Cosmo for a few years and we are huge fans of his. We will be reviewing each application thoroughly and addressing any concerns that we have with the applicants. He is also eligible for our foster to adopt program.
