CHOPPO

Choppo is handsome, and he knows it. He likes to be reminded of how good he is, readily accepting treats and compliments, rewarding you with zoomies and happy prancing when he feels special. And special, he is.

Choppo almost didn’t make it after he was rescued in January. He had a severe heartworm infection and was going into heart failure. Our rescue partners in Louisiana managed to keep him stable while he went through treatment, and he has now made a full recovery. At 5 years young, he has a new lease on life and deserves a loving forever home.

Choppo enjoys leisurely walks around the block, snuggling, and chewing all the things. He is a quiet couch potato unless it’s time to eat, and wants nothing more than to be your personal space heater. He is around 60lbs but don’t tell him that. He thinks he is a lap dog. Choppo gets along with other dogs (but needs to be fed separately) and is wonderful with children of all ages. He has not been cat tested at this time.

Choppo’s perfect home will not leave him alone for too many hours a day, as he definitely needs to be crated when unsupervised. Only the most durable toys for this guy! He is a super chewer and will eat whatever he can gnaw off. He is fairly low energy so would do well with a less active family. If you’re looking for a running partner, Choppo is not for you.

If you have room in your heart, couch, and bed for the sweetest meathead in town, please submit the adoption application at K9Orphans.org to be considered.
