Welcome to K9O, CC!
With her soulful brown eyes and beautiful brindle coat, this Texas girl is not messing around. She is here to steal your heart. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
CC is still just a pup at 8 months old, a petite 35lbs, still growing but won’t get much bigger. She is very sweet and easygoing, gets along well with everyone she meets, including kids, dogs, and cats. She likes to play of course which is great for the other dog in her foster home, but the cat is not impressed.
CC knows her name and is working on basic training. She knows “sit” and “come,” and is getting better at “stay.” She is not a fan of the crate but is fine sleeping in it at night as long as she is in the same room as her humans (though she would prefer sleeping in bed with you), and potty training is going well with frequent outside breaks. She is good on a leash, loves going for walks, and does great riding in the car. She is very smart and will need her new family to continue her training so she can be her best self!
CC’s only real dislike is being left alone, especially in a crate. Her foster family has been leaving her in a puppy-proofed room with their other dog when they have to leave and she has been doing great. We aren’t sure if this is a temporary thing, so CC is looking for a home where she won’t need to be left for too long, and where there is another dog to keep her company (or the option to go to daycare) when her people are away. CC’s foster family says that she is a very good dog and will be a great addition to a loving home!
