7 years young, 15 lbs Jack Russell Terrier mix Sunflower has been with us since October of last year. She was heartworm positive but has finally completed her treatment and is now ready for her forever home! At 7 she is technically a senior but as a small dog she still has many good years ahead of her. Sunflower is looking for a home with someone who is home a lot and where she can be the only dog or with big dogs only. She is not fond of other littles but is fine with cats and larger dogs. Any children in the home should be old enough to know not to take things from her and respect her space.Sunflower is friendly, cuddly, and generally well-behaved, but has had some setbacks with house training. She was doing well before her heartworm treatment, but is struggling now with the cold weather and having been accustomed to using pee pads during her crate rest.
