DON – MALE TERRIER MIX, 2 years old, approx. 60 lb. Don is looking for an active family as he loves to walk, run, play and cuddle. He really likes other dogs and people, he wants to say, “hi” on walks (although is mindful of social distancing). His foster family has a big backyard and he loves to run in big circles. He enjoys toys, stuffies and Nylabones. Some observations from his foster family:
Dislikes – He was a little uncomfortable when I was using our steam vac and when my husband was using a leaf blower. (So dirty floors and a leaf filled yard are a plus for this guy 😃)
General temperament – He is really sweet and came knowing how to “sit.” He really likes people and wants to always be around and participating in what is going on. He almost never barks. He has high-energy and can be a bit boisterous when he wants to play. He can be a bit rough with my husband or myself, but is remarkably gentle with our five year old son. He does seem to be potty trained; he had an accident the first day he came into our house and one several days later, but other than those he has not had any.
Don does not seem too interested in our sons toys, but he has tried to mouth some of his stuffed animals a few times.⭐️A training course is required for adoption. In lieu of a fenced yard for this guy, adopter must have an exercise regimen in place to get his energy out. ⭐️
