Meet FELIX ❤️ Felix is too cute for his own good, but since nobody’s perfect it wouldn’t be fair for him to have looks, brains, AND an outgoing personality. He is handsome and smart, curious, alert, attentive, (don’t be surprised if he copies you sometimes), very dog-friendly, an overall gentle soul, but he needs a special home to come out of his shell. Felix is a bit of a wallflower and startles easily, so young children and too much traffic in and out of the home will be too much for him.
Felix loves playing outside, tug of war, chasing a ball, and running with dog-friends. A home with a large fenced yard and another dog to play with would be ideal so he can feel safe and let loose. He adores his foster mom, but hasn’t really warmed up to the rest of the family. The kids make him nervous, and men can be scary. His new human(s) will need to be very calm and patient to help him feel secure. Felix has not been cat-tested, but he is so sweet he would probably be fine with a feline sibling.
Felix has made some progress in his foster home but is still nervous much of the time. He is looking for a quiet home with a patient forever mom, and a confident mentor dog to show him that the humans can be trusted. There are few things in life as rewarding as winning over a dog who doesn’t immediately love everyone. If you put the time in, you’ll have a best friend for life.
