TALOUSE (aka Luz aka LuHawk aka MohShadow) is the sweetest, most affectionate and loving girl. She came to K9O from an overcrowded shelter in Louisiana and brings along her southern charm and manners. At only 1 year old, she is an all-around proper young lady.
Talouse does well on leashed walks, but also loves being able to run free, off-leash and would do best in a home with a fenced yard. She enjoys car rides, cuddles, hiking, snuggles, eating, nuzzles, playing with other pups, belly rubs, nestling between people, and did I mention snuggles!? She sticks close by her humans and shadows them everywhere they go, be it inside or outside. She sports a lustrous, soft coat topped off with a permanently spiked mohawk along the nape of her neck.
She is submissive with other dogs but lately has really been getting the hang of the whole puppy-play routine at a local dog park and is growing to quite like it. She does well around kids, but must be watched, as she can get rambunctious. Speaking of being watched – Talouse is quite the food connoisseur and is especially into eating shoes. She needs to be surrounded by lots of soft toys which she can take apart to help curb this behavior.
She is crate trained and will do best started off in a crate when left alone until her shoe fetish gets under control. Positive-reinforcement doggy obedience lessons would perfectly compliment her.
She would really benefit from being with someone who can spend more than an average amount of time hanging with her and keeping her mind occupied; someone that’s looking for a gentle, doting, couch snuggle-buddy. Her gentle and docile disposition does not take well to any stern talk; patience and positive reinforcement are the best approach.
