This lovely little girl is 3-4 years old and 38lbs. She came to us from Arkansas where she was found nearly starved and very sick with heartworm. She has since gained weight and recovered, and recently made the journey to Rochester to find her forever home! She is full of love, kisses, and snuggles, and would love a nice family to call her own.

Honor likes to play, but she likes to snuggle even more. She would prefer to be a lap dog and potato on the couch most of the day. She is not super active but she loves sunbathing and relaxing outside. She gets along well with other dogs and wouldn’t mind a playmate, so long as they don’t play too rough and respect her space when she’s tired. No cats for this girl!

Honor is crate-trained and potty trained. She has not had any accidents at her foster home and has been fine being left for a regular workday, but her medication makes her need to go potty a bit more frequently than most dogs, so a family who works shorter shifts or is available to let her out for a potty break mid-day would be ideal for her.

She can be nervous around her food, so she prefers to eat alone in her crate. She is fine taking treats, even with other dogs, as long as she understands clearly who each piece is meant for. As soon as she sees dinner coming she runs to her crate and dances while she waits.

Honor is a gem of a dog and will make someone very happy. Her foster parents would be keeping her if she didn’t chase their cats! They say she is wonderful, affectionate, just an all-around good girl. If you would like to meet her, please submit the adoption application!
