Meet Henry! I think he looks more like a Hank, but I digress. This handsome fella came all the way from Texas, where he spent an incredible 9 months in a shelter! He is the sweetest boy despite his hardships, and is ready to find his forever home here in upstate NY. He is about 5 years old, 55lbs, and has the most gloriously soft ears. He is a hound through and through and loves to follow a scent, but he’s also very sweet and mellow, loves to lounge around and play couch potato.
Henry is very laid back and not at all aggressive, but he is a big boy and needs some training, so older kids would be best. He is great with other dogs, but has not been cat tested.
Henry will need some refresher training after spending so much time in a shelter. He knows “sit” but that’s about it, and he does know his name. He is crate trained and potty trained, but he does need some work on marking as he was not neutered until he was 4 years old. He wears a belly band at his foster home and he has gotten much better as he’s settled in, but again, he needs training.
