Foster a Dog!
All of the dogs available through K9 Orphans are placed in foster homes while waiting for the forever homes. This accomplishes many things such as socialization with people and pets, understanding of the dog’s personality, preferences, and quirks, and is much less stressful than being kept in a kennel or shelter. We are ALWAYS in need of more foster families to place our dogs with. The only requirement is that you care for and love the dog, make sure the medical needs are addressed, and be willing to transport to any adoption events, meet ‘n’ greets, or veterinary appointments. We require reference checks, a home visit, and completion of the Foster Contract before approval.
Please be patient! We are a volunteer organization – everyone has real jobs, families, and other commitments that sometimes take precedence.
